Country Mill Orchard and Pumpkin Patch

This afternoon we drove to Potterville, a small town west of Holt, to visit the Country Mill Orchard for apples. Jack loved the "petting zoo" (a pair of cages with goats, ducks and chickens) and the ponies. He also proved himself to be a donut fan, after devouring bites of our apple and pumpkin donuts. We were delighted to discover the orchard carried organic Jonathon apples, a very rare find, which means we'll have lots of homemade apple sauce this fall.
