Lunch with Kaitlyn

On New Years Eve day, Jack hosted lunch for his little friend Kaitlyn (and her parents, too). He seemed to love playing with her, even going so far as to give her hugs and kisses, which she seemed happy to return. Ah, young love.

The munchkins played with play-doh, made faces across the table at each other, and chased the cats together. For Jack, it was a perfect day. And we enjoyed spending time with Kathryn and Ken, sharing stories and questions about parenting, and realizing with relief that we aren't the only parents who have a kid who sometimes eats play-doh, throws temper tantrums in stores, or pees in the bathtub.
