On Monday, we went to the Columbus Zoo with Brian's mom. The zoo is Jack Hanna's home base, so we knew the exhibits would be spectacular, but it was even better than we expected. We were able to see a number of animals close-up: brown bears with huge paws, elephant ("elfunant") babies, married penguins, gorillas and bonobos, manatees, and sea turtles. It was an amazing, if hot, experience. Both boys were troopers and enjoyed the whole day without tears or tantrums and managed to avoid getting eaten by the overly-pushy ducks and geese during lunch.
