This past week's unseasonably warm weather has resulted in a number of nature walks for Jack (and sometimes Ben) and I. It started with a walk in Ohio to see a waterfall with Grandma Fisher, then a three-mile hike on Monday during Ben's physical therapy -- from Potter Park Zoo almost to MSU on the River Trail --, then a couple of trips to Burchfield Park for their hiking trails. We've walked through rivers, over logs, under branches, nearly been run over by bikers, and picked up countless souvenir rocks. Jack's little legs seem to be filled with boundless energy, and he hasn't found a trail yet that will exhaust him. Ben, who enjoys these hikes from the Ergo on my back, keeps things interesting by throwing his binky every so often or yelling about birds.
