Jackson arrives

After nine months and one extra day for good measure, Jackson Robert Fisher arrived into the world at 1:39 a.m. Sunday, June 1. Even though, he was only 6 pounds, 1 ounce and 19.5 inches long, he made his mom work hard for it by keeping her in labor for about 12 hours.
Luckily though, he's definitely been worth it. He loves cuddling and getting rocked by his mommy and daddy and once he's swaddled and sleeping, he doens't get disturbed by much. (Please let's hope this continues!)
Christine is recovering well from the delivery. She was battling allergies before she went into labor which then seemed to transform into a respiratory infection. This, in turn, made for one exhausted mama. Luckily, antibiotics and a little bit more rest has helped her feel much better.
We're looking forward to going home later today (Tuesday) but we're very appreciative of all the great nurses and staff at Sparrow Hospital who have helped us not seem quite so clueless as you can feel when you're doing it all for the first time. We hope to keep everyone updated as much as we can and we'll definitely post more pics once we have a bit more time.
