Visit to the Doctor

Today Jack went for his 18 month well-baby visit. He exceeded our expectations by moving into the 8th percentile for weight (up from 3rd percentile!), 30th percentile for height, and 76th percentile for head. Lots of good brains up there.

He was an angel during his visit. He didn't cry even when Dr. Josh looked in his ears. He didn't even flinch for his first shot. The second one, however, was a tetanus shot so that got quite a reaction. Overall, however, we were really pleased by his visit.

He seems to have found it memorable as well, since he was playing with his baby doll and his tool kit once we got home, revisiting some of the highlights of the doctors' office. He seemed to think the drill was an appropriate substitute for both a syringe and for the ear scope, and the wrench and screwdriver made for a good tongue depressor and flashlight. It's amazing how his little (um, BIG) brain works!
