Numbers game

In the first few weeks of pregnancy, we've come to discover that numbers mean a lot. You want certain numbers in certain ranges and other numbers to be increasing at certain rates. So far, the numbers are definitely working in our favor. We learned Tuesday that Christine's hCG level is at 7,750 - which is very good news. Basically that puts her above average for five weeks into a pregnancy and well within normal ranges for six weeks. Since we still don't know exactly how far along she is (though by our estimate today would be the end of the sixth week), we'll have to wait until the ultrasound next Wednesday to get a better gauge. Tomorrow morning, we'll have another set of hCG levels to factor as she got bloodwork done today. Unfortunately, they don't process it as quickly as we want them to (though it's still pretty fast - we're just a little impatient).
