So I decided to have some fun with our blog and added a few polls to the right-hand side of the page. The three polls are: what's the baby's gender? do you want us to tell you the baby's gender on the blog when we find out (Jan. 3)? when do you think the baby will arrive?
If we think of other polls as the pregnancy progresses, we'll put them up. Likely ones for later include: how much will the baby weigh? how much pregnancy weight will Christine have? who will the baby look more like?

Since the gender is determined by the "Y" gene, the answer is best determined by looking at the numbers of boys and girls on Brian's side: his dad is one of three boys and his grandfather is one of five boys. Obvious answer: IT'S A BOY!
(However, Uncle Jim, the scientist says that statistically speaking, chances are 50-50)
